Horacio Tamborini has been involved with the game of tennis, as both an owner and a director, since 1983. In October of 1988, he was chosen "America's Biggest Tennis Nut" by Tennis Magazine. He went on to purchase FCTC in June of 1999, along with his wife, Cristina, and has been advancing the club ever since. Horacio and Cristina's daughter, Carla, is a recent graduate of USD where she played on the tennis team and majored in Business Administration/Marketing. She is now assisting her parents at the club as both an Assistant Manager and teaching pro.

Tess has been the club manager here at FCTC since the Tamborini's took over in 1999. Dennis has also been working at the club since 1999. Alejandro Martin Escos, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, was initially a soccer player. After playing tennis for only one year, he was ranked #17 in Southern California. Through the rest of his junior career he was ranked as high as #8. He's competed in sectional, national and international tournaments. Winner of the KSwiss Masters along with many other Open Tournaments. He has a fun and enthusiastic view of the sport for both kids and adults.
Carla Gianna Tamborini began playing competitive tennis at the age of 10, both sectionally & nationally. She has won numerous titles in various cities & countries. At 15, she went to train on clay in one of Argentina’s top academies & went onto the International Junior Circuit (ITF). Over 45 international championships in over 35 countries later, her international ranking was #152. She played for 2 years at the University of the Pacific as the #4 singles player, & #2 doubles player. After her first two years at UOP, she transfered to the University of San Diego to finish her Undergraduate degree. She played there for her last two years as the #3 singles, & #1 doubles player. Carla Graduated in May 2009 from USD with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing . She has been teaching at FCTC for the past 5 summers and is continuing to teach and do administrative work here at FCTC.

Diego Aguado
Diego Aguado started to play at the age of 8. As a child, he was one of Argentina's top juniors for three years. He has obtained over 30 titles in Open Tournaments. Diego played the Pro Circuit for a year (playing in Future & Satellite Tournaments). He then went on to play the French Tour for two years. He has worked for 6 years as a coach in the best academies in Argentina alongside professionals such as Horacio De La Pena. Diego has traveled with players in the top 200 WTA and ATP. Recently, Diego traveled on the Junior Circuit for 2 years with Carla Tamborini, among other players.
Stan Carter
Stan Carter has been involved with tennis ever since his father first took him to the La Canada tennis courts at the age of eight. He competed throughout his youth, eventually becoming the 47th member of the newly formed La Canada Valley Tennis Club. He was inspired to instruct when, after years of competitive play, his oldest daughter suddenly challenged him to teach her. Stan took this challenge seriously and began training with the USTA to become a professional instructor. As a long standing Certified Professional of the USTA, Stan continues to be a student of the game himself by attending all USPTA educational forums held monthly, quarterly and yearly. He has a great connection with the students and patience is a natural part of his programs.
Hratchia Sargsyan has been teaching professionally for the past 30 years. He has coached the National Russian Team (1983-1986) and holds a BA in Sports Science and a Masters in Sports Psychology from the Russian College of Sports. Currently, Hratchia coaches several top nationally ranked juniors as well as top ranked sectional juniors in Southern California.

Jimmy Panagopoulos
Jimmy Panagopoulos held a Top 5 Junior ranking in the U.S. for 6 years when he defeated world class players such as Greg Rusedski, Thomas Enquist (currently #29 in the world), Chris Woodruff (currently #12 in the world), and Vincent Spadea. He won 9 National Championships and played on the Professional Tour for two years where he trained with the Greek Davis Cup Team. Even with a heavy tour schedule, he still found time to graduate from the University of South Carolina with a BA degree in Liberal Arts-Psychology. In July, Jimmy will have been teaching at FCTC for 11 years!!
Chris has over 30 years of professional tennis teaching experience. He is a certified PTR affiliate sponsor and a promoter of USTA QuickStart Tennis for kids. Previously, Chris has worked at the South Pasadena Racquet Centre, been an assistant coach at Cal State University Los Angeles, associated with the Vic Braden's Tennis Camps, and was the assistant Manager and Pro at the West End Tennis and Racquet Club. As a youth, he was the No. 1 player at West Valley Jr. College and was ranked 4th in Jr. Colleges. He has been a finalist and winner of many Open Singles and Doubles events throughout the country.

Alfonso is responsible for the meticulous upkeeping of the grounds. He is the man behind the scenes here at FCTC.
